[Ashlie Minamida]

"You could make the most amazing self-repairing or even adaptive circuitry." she says as she cuts the part of Will still sticking out of the containment cylinder off. "Are you sure I can't convince you to take some Electrical Engineering classes?"

[Will Stanton]

"No, I'm not sure you couldn't convince me to do that. After all, I'm still technically yours," Will said, his arms dragging what was left of his upper torso away from the cylinder.

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Yes, but you and me are unique in that we're objects capable of self-determination. Ownership does not apply the same way to us."

[Will Stanton]

"Still, though. You've got all the paperwork and all that, so if you want, I'll take those classes."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"You could try it, see if you like it."

[Will Stanton]

"I will do just that, then!" Will nodded.

[Ashlie Minamida]

"You're really eager to please. I hope no one's taking advantage of that." she says as she closes the large container full of Will, the lid sealing with a magnetic clunk.

[Will Stanton]

"In what way?"

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Well, that's hard to define, since it's your call whether or not you feel taken advantage of. Generally doing favors is a back and forth, so if you're only always doing somebody favors they might be taking advantage of your willingness to help."

[Will Stanton]

"Hrm...." Will said, musing.

"I don't tend to NEED many favors, so I guess a lot of people are taking advantage of me, if that's how you define it."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Not solely, it's just a starting point. Ultimately it's up to you to determine. You're a little naive and not very versed in social norms because of your unique life experience, but you're not stupid."

[Will Stanton]

"Thank you much! I don't think I'm dumb, at the very least. I'm feeling particularly clever and crafty, actually."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Now, do you want to see the results of the test I'm going to run? I'll have to take this over to Beast's lab."

[Will Stanton]

"Sure thing! I'm not really going anywhere for a while anyway, what with no legs and all."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Can't you turn into something with less mass but legs?"

[Will Stanton]

"That sounds rather difficult...I've never really tried..." Will mused.

[Ashlie Minamida]

"You taught yourself how to turn into this. You should be able to do a smaller version. Or a dog. Or anything, really."

[Will Stanton]

"You want me to shift into a dog?" Will asked, misunderstanding.

[Ashlie Minamida]

"You'd be able to walk. But it's just a suggestion. Really, the loss of mass shouldn't even pose a problem. The car you turned into is significantly more massive than your human shape."

[Will Stanton]

"Yeah, but that's different. That's just a car. I already know how to do that; it's not creating anything."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"It's not a hardware limitation, so it must be your software. Curious. That's how someone would set it up if you were designed to be used by others. Especially since modifications seem to create new templates for you to access..."

[Will Stanton]

"Um, I wasn't designed, per se..."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"I thought you didn't remember anything before you were found in the ice?"

[Will Stanton]

"Well, I...don't, really. You know...nothing solid or anything like that."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Besides, there's nothing wrong with having been designed." she smirks faintly.

[Will Stanton]

"I didn't say there was, just that it's not true for me," Will clarified.

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Well, part of this is to find out more about your origins."

[Will Stanton]

"Oh? What do you think you'll find?"

[Ashlie Minamida]

"I have a couple theories, but it's essentially a very detailed breakdown of your molecular and atomic make-up. It'll allow for a number of calculations. I'll walk you through the results."

[Will Stanton]

"That's good, because I don't understand ANY of that stuff."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Now, do I need to find a cart for you?"

[Will Stanton]

"That'd be convenient," Will nodded.

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Very well." she chuckles as she gets a cart, loading the canister on it before lifting Will up and placing him next to it.

[Will Stanton]

"Excellent! Sorry to be such a bother."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"You donated your legs to science. No need to apologize." she says as she wheels him and the sample container out of the workshop, the displays continuing to crunch numbers as they leave.
