Call to Arms

[Ashlie Minamida]

Early Tuesday morning the X-Team alarm goes off, calling every available member to the Point for an emergency briefing.

Instead of X-23 pacing it's Ashlie standing still in front of the monitors, patiently waiting for people.


((Short action-mission, send who you want regardless of which team they're on.))

[Tereza Rozanov]

Tereza comes in and leans against one of the walls. She's a little uncertain if she's going to be allowed to go on any mission, but she still wants to know what's going on.

[Samantha McManus]

Sam also gives the headmistress an uncertain look as she enters the room in her training uniform.

[Will Stanton]

Will nervously stood in one corner, wearing a fairly default-uniform.

[Chase Delacroix]

Chase looked both nervous and uncertain as he walked in. He needed to know that he could do this, but worried he wasn't ready.

((As usual, late arrivals can have been there from the start.))

"I'll make this short. You all know X-23 took a small vacation. Apparently to her that means sneaking across the Russian border, because this morning I received a phonecall from a young girl she apparently saved from some sort of camp. Satellite images reveal nothing unusual about the area the call came from but considering the attack on Glacier and the apparent involvement of Russian Mutants leads me to believe that X-23 succeeded in tracking down one of their training camps. The jet is being prepared for take-off to take you across the border. If terrain allows you will land in the area I suspect the facility to be, otherwise you might have to deploy from the plane. I suggest you use the flight-time to familiarize yourself with deploying a parachute."

"The main objective is to find X-23 and to free any potential mutants being held against their will. Recovering information and destroying the facility are secondary."

[Tereza Rozanov]

Tereza's fists clench a little tighter and she frowns at the news.

[Samantha McManus]

"If... if this took out Ms. Kinney, then why are you sending us?"

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Because you're more than one person and because she stayed behind to get this information to us. I'm not saying this won't be dangerous, but clearly she had enough faith in you."

[Chase Delacroix]

Chase's anxiety vanished. This was personal now.

"Someone has to, and nobody official is going to."

[Will Stanton]

"Do..do we know how many people are there?"

[Ashlie Minamida]

"We know very little to nothing except that officially these camps either don't exist or are labelled as schools. Glacier has some insight into what you might expect, but since we believe this to be a different facility we don't know for certain. What we do know is that they have enough staff and experience in dealing with mutants that they were able to handle X-23 to some extent and that they might try to leverage the mutants under their care to their advantage."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"The guards are probably military-trained, if they're not active military. I don't remember any mutants actively working for them where I was, but that was years ago." She thought for a moment, "Based on what they did to me, they'll probably have a telepath, but that's not necessarily a given."

[Samantha McManus]

"...then let's hope at least part of their security is biometrics," she muses.

[Will Stanton]

"I'm sure we can figure out some way to slip through."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"You certainly have the expertise to get into places you're not supposed to." Is that a smirk showing on the headmistress' lips for a second? Surely not...

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Have we still got those power cuffs that my sister had me in? I'm just thinking options."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"I was going to analyze them first, but if you'd rather bring them along then I'll have them in the jet for you."

"Any other questions or last minute equipment requests?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Just want to keep our infiltration options open," she said, drawing herself up a bit. "I'm ready to go whenever everyone else is."

[Samantha McManus]

"Let's do this," Sam nods.

[Will Stanton]

"Ready as I'll ever be."

[Chase Delacroix]

Chase exhaled slowly.

"If I'm cleared for my bow, I have an idea. I've been training with shock arrows and it seems like those could be useful here."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"You're cleared now. Bring them."

[Samantha McManus]

Sam nods, and starts heading for the hangar.
