"Oh. Fair enough, I guess. Sorry I asked."

After an awkward silence, he asked "So... what do you do when not learning how to kick butts?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"Aside from actually kicking butts? I like watching movies, listen to music. The Xub's pretty cool to hang out at."

[Chase Delacroix]

"I tried going to the Xub, but things went... awry. Lasers were involved."

[Nailah Weaver]

"There's lasers in the Xub and nobody told me?"

[Chase Delacroix]

"No, a girl had a power mishap."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Oh. That's less cool. I thought they might have one of those disco-ball light-show thingies."

[Chase Delacroix]

A memory of a fight in a retro nightclub flashed through his mind, set to a Chinese version of Disco Inferno.

"God I hope not."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Pff, you're no fun."

[Chase Delacroix]

"No, I'm probably not."

[Nailah Weaver]

"What? Hey, no, I didn't mean it like that...."

[Chase Delacroix]

"You really think I could be fun?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"Why not? Everyone can be fun."

[Chase Delacroix]

"I guess I just need practice then."

[Nailah Weaver]

"That's not..." she starts, but then remembers Onyx and teaching her how to have fun. "Okay, maybe it is, but apparently only for people who've been to Madripoor..."

[Chase Delacroix]

"No, I know what fun is. I just haven't had any in a long time. Things were... complicated... before I came here. "

[Nailah Weaver]

"Well, it's really not that hard. You just gotta do what you feel like and what you enjoy." she smiles encouragingly.

[Chase Delacroix]

"Honestly I'm still figuring out what that is," he said, "Besides books anyway."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Well, that's a start! Books are good."

[Chase Delacroix]

"If not the kind of fun where other people are involved."

[Nailah Weaver]

"It's not hard. You just gotta go out where people are." she nods. Nailah's ideas of what is hard can be a little skewed sometimes.

[Chase Delacroix]

"You make it sound so easy," he chuckled, a little uncomfortably.

[Nailah Weaver]

"That's cause it is. I mean... just hang out at the Xub, drink, dance, have a good time."

[Chase Delacroix]

"And hope for no laser blasts."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Well, yeah. That's a different kind of fun." she chuckles.

[Chase Delacroix]

"The fun part being?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"Well if there's laser blasts that probably means there's a bad guy to fight, yeah?"

[Chase Delacroix]

"Usually that's true," he nodded.

[Nailah Weaver]

"There you go then." she grins.

[Chase Delacroix]

"Fought many?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"Well, some... None with lasers though."

[Chase Delacroix]

"I'm sure you'll get your laser battle soon enough," he chuckled.
