I Know That Guy!

The site of the recently restored Braddock Lighthouse. Aircraft hangars and other X-Men facilities, including a Cerebra unit and the Danger Room have been constructed around the foundations of the lighthouse.

"How is 'asking' and trying to convince it any different. You're sending signals with the intent of retrieving data. It has no way to judge your request outside of the parameters that have been programmed into it. Hacking just means tailoring your requests to fit the expected terms."

"It has predetermined processes that judge the request. That's the entire point of security protocols. Being honest has nothing to do with it. You're anthropomorphizing an inanimate object. Not everything is like you or me and frankly, it's insulting to insist they are. Stop protecting the non-existent feelings of a military spy satellite."

With that, Will shifted back.

"I don't think I want to help you anymore, Headmistress," Will said, frowning. "I don't think you have the best interests of me OR my friends in mind."

And with that, Will swung his fist directly towards Ashlie's face, shifting it into a heavy metal anvil on route.

Ashlie's reflexes are good, but she also seems to have misread the situation horribly. The anvil-fist slams into her skull, shattering one of her eyes in a spray of metal and fiberoptics as the massive chunk of metal tears away a good quarter of her synthetic skin and severely damaging the metal frame underneath. Sparks fly as the intricate sensors underneath are crushed and her head jerks back, hanging back at a 90 degree angle for a moment before groaning servos bring it jerking back upright. The left side of her 'face' is sagging where synthetic skin is loosely hanging off it's frame, a metal jaw hanging slightly askew, showing bits of her teeth and her synthetic tongue lolling around as she talks.

"That was unwarranted." she says, raising her hand as the glove Rob built for her blinks to life and unloads a series of various energy pellets into Will, among them an electrical one.

The pellets slammed into Will, who was launched back towards the wall behind him, rapidly losing all cohesion and form as the electric pellet fired. After twisting and bouncing unnaturally through several shapes, he settled into a block of clay, resting on the floor of the lab, as arcs of electricity washed over him.

"Was this really necessary, Will?" she says, sounding angry and walking over towards him, looking kind of disturbing with half her face caved in and jerkily trying to go through the process of matching her facial movements to her voice. "I don't exactly keep backup heads around." She has to correct her course a little and generally seems to be having some trouble properly locating Will and moving herself towards him.

If Ashlie was having trouble speaking, Will was having an even harder time. The electricity kept him more or less trapped, though, to his credit, the cube WAS quivering, occasionally beginning to grow small protrusions before being absorbed back in.

Ashlie grabs the cube somewhat roughly, apparently not too concerned about the electricity as she lifts Will up, sparks arcing but apparently not penetrating her skin. "You require some time to get yourself sorted out." she says as she half-carries, half-drags him towards the containment cells.
