Will nodded. "Yeah. You're right. It's amazing what a dash of context can do for a guy, yeah?"

[Samantha McManus]

"Samantha said she'd help the mummer if you suddenly hated her because of this. I intend to honor that."

[Will Stanton]

"How could I hate her? That was a different Melpomene, just like you were a different Morrigan.

Whole once more, we can make those distinctions."

[Samantha McManus]

"She's not..." All three faces wince. "...another time. Samantha isn't very good at holding us together like this, yet."

[Will Stanton]

"We understand. Good bye...

...my Lady."

[Samantha McManus]

The avatar breaks up once more into the flock, which rise up to rejoin Samantha's body...

...which itself rises up, the collar of her shirt stretched by having to accommodate three necks, topped by three heads, as is usually the case, one with red hair, one with black, and one with white. If she's noticed this oddity she gives no indication, as three sets of eyes widen at seeing her sometime frenemy collapsed nearby.

"Miriam!" They exclaim in triplicate unison, as she scrambles to her feet and rushes over.

For Will's part, he sat quietly in the corner, quietly crying into his hands.

[Miriam Bell]

Miriam groans as she sits up a little straighter, holding her head and blinking at Sam, for a moment wondering if she hit her head and her vision's swimming.

"That's a bold new look you've got there, Sam..." she jokes weakly. "Did it work?" she adds, glancing over towards Will.

[Samantha McManus]

"Are you alright?" The white-haired head asks.

"I think it worked," the black-haired head chimes in. "But what do you mean...?" It trails off.

"...ohhhhh shite." The red-haired one exclaims, Sam's hands flying up to feel the fact that there's a whole lot more on her shoulders.

[Will Stanton]

"Yeah, it worked," Will said quietly from his corner of the cell.

[Miriam Bell]

"I feel like I stuck my head in a blender, but now I wonder if I got off easy..."

[Samantha McManus]

"Oh God, Will!" The white-haired head tries to tug Sam's body over towards the cell entrance, but that's hard to do when you're part of a committee.

"I don't know what you did, but this shouldn't..."

"I can't shift. Bloody hell, I can't shift!"

[Will Stanton]

"What DID you do, Miriam?"

[Miriam Bell]

Miriam can't help but feel like Will is blaming her, mainly because she's expecting him to.

"I pulled the rest of her to the surface. The parts that don't go scampering through the forest at night..."

[Will Stanton]

Will smiled, sadly. "That's you to a tee, alright.

You've got to let these things take their course naturally. Rushing it can lead to negative consequences."

[Samantha McManus]

"You've been crying," the white-haired head says with worry, still looking to Will.

"Well it worked, aye?"

"I. Can't. Shift!"

[Will Stanton]

"Yeah....yeah, I guess I have," Will said, addressing the white-haired one. "A lot to take in all at once.

But don't worry about me--you should really head down to the infirmary and get that check out. Believe me, being stuck in a form isn't any fun."

[Miriam Bell]

"She needed the other two." she says, clearly talking about the red-haired head. "Guess I should have just stuck to my guns on all this... I'll go get some real help."

[Samantha McManus]

"No, no, it's alright. I'm fine."

"I'm not fine."

"I'm doing better than they are, so they need help first."

"This is better?"

"...maybe that's a good idea," the black-haired head says to Miriam.

[Will Stanton]

"I'll keep, Samantha," Will said, looking up and wiping his eyes.

[Miriam Bell]

"Right." she says to the black-haired head. "At least we can get you out of that cell, Will." she adds before heading for the door.

[Samantha McManus]

"...she's not a bad sight from that angle," the red-haired head sighs wistfully.

"...I can't believe I said that out loud." The white-haired head flushes beet red.

"...the force field. Right."

Sam walks over to the console and tries to puzzle out if she can open it.

[Will Stanton]

"Hold on, I'm still under arrest, Miriam," Will said, sticking one hand out. "You can't just let people out like that."

[Miriam Bell]

Miriam stops briefly. Whether it's at Badb's comment or Will's is anybody's guess, since she doesn't turn around.

"You'd rather just sit there and wait?"

[Will Stanton]

"No, I wouldn't," Will said, rubbing his temples. "But it's both freeing some accused--and guilty--of assault, as well as theft, as I'm technically the headmistress' property at the moment. No sense in getting both of YOU in trouble as well."

[Samantha McManus]

"The headmistress is going to want to know about this anyway. She wanted him to get his memories back."

"She said it's what she'd want, if she was missing hers."

"And she said she wouldn't let him out unless I did this. Held him for ransom." The redhead frowns.

[Miriam Bell]

"Then I suppose she'll want to know that her browbeating was successful and her 'property' has been fixed."

[Will Stanton]

Will let out a single, sharp, rueful laugh. "Fixed. Yeah, let's go with that."

[Miriam Bell]

"What? Are you going to tell me that you were happy with all of... whatever it is... locked away inside? Because really, that'd just be perfect." she spits out with enough sarcasm that it wraps back around to sounding desperate, hurt and at the edge of regret.

[Will Stanton]

"Miriam, you do not even know the first thing about what has just happened, so listen to your elders and stop talking before you make a fool of yourself," Will said, sternly.

[Miriam Bell]

"No, you know what. You're right." she laughs desperately. "I don't know a damn thing."

[Samantha McManus]

"This is getting us nowhere."

"Oh geez, please don't fight."

[Will Stanton]

"Just...

...I'll keep. Get yourselves straightened out first. The headmistress will deal with me in her own time, I'm sure," he sighed, slumping back down against the wall of his cell.

[Miriam Bell]

"Get myself straightened out. How much time do you have?" she laughs bitterly, shaking her head as she walks out the door.

[Will Stanton]

"I've got all...the time...in the world," Will sang, softly, under his breath.

[Samantha McManus]

The redhead gives a frustrated grumble, and punches the wall. Sam immediately regrets this, shaking out her pained hand.

[Will Stanton]

"That looks like it smarts.

Need an ice pack?"

[Samantha McManus]

"What I need is for something to go right for once!"

"...should I follow her? I should follow her. But what about Will?"

"...I'll be fine."

[Will Stanton]

"Go follow her then, White" Will said, forcing a smile. "I give you permission.

But Red, next time you check someone out, try not to do it in front of the guy who still has a crush on you, alright?"

[Samantha McManus]

"I'm not going to feel guilty for that!"

"...still didn't mean to say that out loud," the white-haired one says, the blush returning.

"...I need to fix this."
