This was literally not his fight. Who cared what happened to some...some other universe?

Will Stanton hesitated at the entrance to the Situation Room. He had shifted into something that looked not too dissimilar from the X-Team uniforms of this universe, but featured, on the back and working it's way around the sides and over the arms, an intricate pattern of interlocking lines surrounding some ravens and an inverted triangle.

After a moment, he took a deep breath, and put on a headset.

"Alright X-Men, here's what we've got--pirates and vikings appear to be headed up the River Blackwater--we do NOT want them to hit the Chelmer and get inland. I'm reading massive....I don't even know what, I'm not a scientist--coming from what looks like the epicenter of this down at Fambridge and Cross--you might want to try to get out of that area while we try to come up with a strategy. I've got Centurions on Washington crossing Essex, and I'm seeing...uh, I'm guessing it's highlanders sacking things on Shakespeare. There's some activity outside of the town, too, but I think we've got one crisis at a time.

Anyone know what the hell is going on?"

After swinging Haley by the infirmary to make sure she wasn't too badly poisoned (and giving chilly looks to med-techs who wanted to see if something was wrong with her), Tereza made her way to the situation room. Her hair was streaked with white, her eyes were glowing the same color, and her circulatory system was lined in blue, but none of that seemed to bother. "Someone calling herself Viper and someone calling himself Red Skull are downtown. If it wasn't just grandstanding, he was proclaiming the greatness of his plan."

Will swore. "You're telling me HYDRA is here?"

Tereza nodded, "And they have a tank, though I think Haley may have limited the usefulness of that. And they have a jet that they are in radio contact with. I don't think Tempest managed to bring it down. I personally witnessed armored jet pack troopers as well as Nazi soldiers."

"What kind of idiot uses a jetpack? That just makes you a big skeet-shooting target."

Victor's simple dress-shirt and slacks outfit didn't really suit such a serious situation, but the shoulder holster he wore at least helped him look the part somewhat.

"Idiots more concerned with looks than functionality."

Emilie scoffed in amusement at the two's exchange, but was surprisingly quiet for a motor-mouthed ginger. With her heart shaped shades down, she was watching the assembled group quietly.

"Have we heard from Tosh? He was at the epicenter with Molly and Nailah when this all blew up. He grabbed one of the vans with Molly and got out."

As people are gathering the various screens in the briefing area light up, displaying either overhead maps or the occasional security camera feed that's showing the mayhem currently happening in the city. A handful of screens are showing complicated calculations scrolling through along with some visual depictions of time distortion all throughout the city. The people who have their comms with them are shown on the various maps as moving dots, although they occasionally jump around a bit from the connection being disrupted by physics going sideways.

"I'm attempting to patch Samebito through to coordinate. Comm lines are unreliable at the moment but I'm trying to compensate." Ashlie's voice comes from the speakers.

Trev walked in, adjusting his somewhat unflattering X-Teams uniform rather uncomfortably, his face all business.

"Thank..." Tosh's voice suddenly came through bursts of interference, "...working again."

"Are things really that bad?"

Jezabelle looked a little timid as she stood near the back. Her suit wasn't like the variations of black/blue with yellow X's that many of the others wore. Hers was a deep shade of violet instead, offset by a garnet or current-red "V" that ran from her shoulders and ended at the crotch, with matching red elbow-length gloves and knee-high boots.

"Just about, it looks like."

"That bad and possibly waaaaaay worse," he said, voice rising as a metallic groan is heard.

On hearing the groan, Tereza asked, "Samebito, do you need backup?"

"Oh that was just Molly picking up the van. But I do need backup. I have a plan to put the genie back in the bottle and our impromptu reenactment of 'Attack of the 50 Foot Woman' is going to draw a lot of attention."

"We need two things. Damage control around town and support for Samebito and Molly. Go where you think you can do the most good, but the later is unfortunately more important." Ashlie's voice comes over the speakers.

After a short pause she adds. "My calculations show that any disruption of the time portal has to happen at the origin point, so the team will have to be prepared to push into the enemy line after the device has been assembled."

"I can find Vivienne and we can work on damage control. The centurions seem like the best place to start. Either that or the highlanders, since they're actually already looting."

"Meet me at the JMP Electronics at 5B Benbridge, Holloway Road. And bring me a couple of spare Danger Room power couplings. Oh, and a photon emitter from a spare hard light generator."

"And the strongest power supply you can get to me, Minamida knows the one."

It was obvious he was making this up as he went.

"Headmistress, do you know the stuff he's talking about?"

"Yes, I'll have everything ready in 15 minutes. Do you have a way to transport a 200 pound power core?"

"Carrying that much weight in ice probably wouldn't be wise," she said, glancing around the room. "Some sort of vehicle will likely be required to transport it."

"I can handle that," Will said, gruffly.

If she noted the tone, it didn't register on Tereza's face. "Sounds like the beginnings of a plan then."

"What if we shrank it?" Victor inquired with his hand raised.

"Can we do that?" Will asked.

Victor gave a little shrug. "I've never handled somethin' that big or complex before, but I could try."

"Just don't break it or, yanno, we're screwed," Tosh commented.

"...also, could you... umm... bring a sandwich or something? I'm starving."

Will nodded. "Alright then...Vic, right? You're up there.

And I'll see what the kitchen has, Tosh."

Emilie scoffed at Tosh and spoke up. " If you want, I got kitchen access." She offered to Will whom she had never properly met before and had no idea he was the dude Ashlie asked her about.

"Hey, lookit that, we both get to do what we're good at." Victor gave Emilie a little nudge and braced himself for a punch in the arm.

"Oh sweetheart, I'm good at all kinds of things your cute little brain couldn't even fathom." She quipped back. Apparently, her tactic to put Vic back in his place was to embarrass the shit out of him.

"We can street sweep and try to clear the road a bit for you guys. If that works," she said, looking at Will.

Will nodded. "Let's do it."

"Good. Everyone else, meet me in the workshop to load everything up."
