Sept 2nd: It Came From The Sea

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Damn right it would," he laughed.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Well, your other self better get to work so I don't have to fly around by myself."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Bro's wicked smart and now has access to an R&D grade workshop. Won't be long."

[Nailah Weaver]

"I'll hold you to that. Him. Whatever. Can you make promises for him? Is that how it works?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Not really."

[Nailah Weaver]

"But if you're him, only... nevermind, this is too complicated. Can he even hear this conversation?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Every word, though he's not his bright self when we're like this... he could probably explain this better. Or maybe just with bigger words."

[Nailah Weaver]

"What's that like? Having another self in your head? Do you guys talk to each other?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

"It's great... always having a friend and never being alone. And we talk all the time. Well, okay, I probably do most of the talking. If he, like, laughs at random I'm why."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Weird." she chuckles, apparently considering that if not a compliment then at the very least not an insult either. "That would probably get on my nerves so fast."

[Toshiro Narumi]

He didn't seem offended in the slightest.

Maybe the fish breath.

"Well... I should probably hand the reins back over so he can wash the ocean taste out of our mouth."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Doesn't taste that great?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

"I don't mind, because shark, but it bothers him and he's the boss," he shrugged.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Huh. Well, I'll leave you to go brush your teeth then."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Oh I'll shift back first. Brushing these teeth would literally take forever."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Oh! Well, I gotta stay and watch that then! If that's okay with you... You don't have to get naked or anything for that, do you?" she pulls a bit of a face.

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Nah. This suit is one of those unstable molecule dealies."

He gave a goofy salute.

"See ya on the flipside."

He began to shrink, body rapidly reshaping itself. Soon enough Tosh stood there, wet hair plastered to his forehead.

"Blech... fish breath..." he grimaced.

[Nailah Weaver]

Nailah is staring at him with her mouth hanging open as his frame shrinks down to the familiar shape of Tosh. "That was amazing!"

[Toshiro Narumi]

"It is isn't it?" he grinned shyly.

[Nailah Weaver]

"What does it feel like?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

"It feels like... hmm... like... okay, like I'm temporarily made out of clay and a thousand tiny robot hands are either smushing me into a ball or stretching me out."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Oh, yeah, I know exactly how that feels like." she chuckles.

[Toshiro Narumi]

He shrugged.

"Can't really explain it better."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Relax, it's a fine explanation. It's just hard to describe, right?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Yeah," he nodded.

"So... that was Bruce..." he chuckled awkwardly.

[Nailah Weaver]

"He seems nice. You know, for a giant monster that could snap me like a twig."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Oh he's like a big puppy. A big puppy that could snap you like a twig."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Oh yeah, much better." she chuckles. "But if that was true you probably wouldn't turn cuter when you shift back." she says before her brain can catch up with her mouth and she blushes even as the words leave her lips.

[Toshiro Narumi]

"It's totally tru... wait what? You... think I'm cute?" he asked, also blushing.

[Nailah Weaver]

"N-no... I mean..." And that's when she takes off running, wings unfurling and beating rapidly, carrying her into the air.

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Wait!" he called after her.

[Nailah Weaver]

If she hears him she doesn't respond, flying out over the water and around the cliffs while trying to gain height.

[Toshiro Narumi]

He sighed. "Who am I kidding? No way she actually likes me like that."

Dude, I totally think she does.

He just trudged back to campus.
