Groundwork? What's Groundwork?

After having spend way too much time circling the skies above London Nailah finally returned to the school without having caught another glimpse of the blonde maniac. Instead of going to bed though, she headed straight for the Point and now she's hunched over one of the computers in the central area, trying to find any kind of information on Hazard in the X-Men's list of known mutants.

There are no entries in the database on mutants or even empowered humans calling themselves Hazard.

She groans and tries to widen the search by looking up people with pyrokinetic powers that might fit the description. This was way easier just asking her power to put her on the right track, but anytime she's tried it refused to offer any kind of guidance.

A different terminal popped up a message.

There are no pyrokinetics matching Hazard's description either. Could he be newly active or just newly insane?

(Two. Two narrators. Ah ah ah.)

Nailah blinks at the message on the terminal and slides over with the chair.

Guess so. Who is this?

Goop boy?

Oh. Will!

Yeah, I guess. Where are you?

"Whoa, what? How does that work?" she asks out loud, then looks contemplative for a moment before starting to type that out on the computer in case Will didn't hear.

"I'm not a scientist. I got wings and I fly." she shrugs. "Are you gonna help me or not?" she goes on, a little irritated by having gotten her butt kicked and being adrift in a sea of uncertainty.

Nailah lets out a faintly amused groan. "Seriously? Okay, fine, yeah, I'm trying to find a guy who wrecked a clothing store tonight."

"Probably, but none that I know of. He was babbling some kind of nonsense about spokes and being nothing? He seemed really deranged and all I know is that he calls himself Hazard. Man, I wish I was better at drawing so I could at least make some kinda police sketch thingie. Do you have some kinda face-building program on there?"

Betcha we can download one.

"I have no idea. Probably just insane rambling? So, how do we download a program like that?" she asks and almost as if it had been waiting her power almost bursts in with the first step towards that, her fingers moving almost automatically as she navigates to some obscure website hosting a program that's usually reserved for the police and similar institutions. "Uhm, nevermind, I got it." she grins vaguely. "Can you run this?"

I'm sure I can figure it out; let's see what we can piece together.

The old program fired to life--turns out, most police forces weren't using the latest-and-greatest equipment, sassafrassa budget cuts, but it was good enough for government work.

"Okay, so... Blonde hair, kinda all wild and average length..." she says, starting to work on the program. "Angularish face? Is that what it's called? Thin lips and... eyes kinda... eye-like? Bit more gaunt cheeks, I guess? Hrmm. I think that's close. I dunno if the nose is right." she says, continuing to futz with the image some but having more or less settled on a look.

Eye like is a wonderful description there.  It's both 100% accurate and probably not helpful at all
Will joked.

The screen had started with a picture of Will, because of course it did, and it altered and shifted as Nailah toggled options and swapped features.

"Hey, this is hard. I only saw him for maybe a minute or two and half of that time he was swinging knives and flames at me. But there. Can we, like, run this through a database or something to try and find a match?"

It's too bad you didn't get a fingerprint or some DNA or something, but ah well.

There's a satellite orbiting us.  Chill guy.  With enough connections, we might be able to see if this guy's popped up anywhere.  London's swarming with cameras, after all.

Facial recognition does its Orwellian work and uncovers footage of a small spree of chaos leading to the area of her encounter. Hazard, in what looks like a straight jacket with some video-blurred text on the back, robbing a well-dressed couple at knifepoint. Hazard again, caught as a fast moving blur stealing shoes from a store. Yet again, this time shattering the window of a white sedan with a telekinetic wave and driving off after hot-wiring it. Next, Hazard shattering the clothing store window followed soon by the unidentifiable winged figure of Nailah. Finally, the maniac exits the burning store and vanishes into an alley.
