That's when the lights in the corridor suddenly go out. Considering they're several meters underground the ensuing darkness is... substantial to say the least, almost oppressively so. Even Isolde would have trouble seeing, though she might be able to pick up the scent of someone moving through the darkness. The only sound Shane and Tereza hear is the unsettling tearing sound of flesh being pierced, followed by the sensation of something warm and solid brushing against their necks like a claw of some kind.

Tereza's neck encases itself in ice, flowing down over the rest of her body. If anyone could see the armor, it would be disturbingly werewolf-like, but thankfully it's dark at the moment. She growls, "Shane, you okay?"

"Never let bravado get in the way of taking something seriously." a familiar voice whispers in the dark, followed by the snikt of retracting claws and the lights turning back on as X-23 hits the light switch. Not that it's that far away from where they're standing, but it's still impressive how fast and quietly she moved in the dark.

Because it's Laura, Tereza can't bring herself to be outwardly pissed, but she's inwardly fuming. The ice doesn't move from her body as she stalks towards the door. "Then it's your turn to talk to her, because I've taken as much 'seriously' as I can for one day."

"Since when is a bloody antiquated lighthouse going out a serious problem?" Shane groused, not knowing better. "Crazy bitch is all yours chief," he said pointedly before following after Tereza, muttering something impolite about cardiac health.
