He looked alright, at least -- maybe a speck of red in the eyes, or was that just Tosh's eyes playing tricks on him?

"And, as promised..."

Will kipped-up onto his feet, walked over, and planted a big, wet kiss on Tosh

"No, no, that's really not..." he attempted to say before Will's lips cut him off. "...n-necessary..." he blushed.

He's a good kisser. Take notes Bro.

"Nah, I'm pretty sure that's standard X-Team protocol when you save someone from being spread across England. Check your handbook."

[Natalie Denisov]

"The PDF doesn't seem to contain that verbiage," Natalie says with a laugh.

[Will Stanton]

"Then it's out of date. I'm from the future, you know. I know these things," he laughed, bouncing over towards her.

"Woah...little light headed," he said, shaking his head once or twice as if he was clearing out cobwebs. "Little parched, too. Probably a side-effect from being hepped up on goofballs."

Natalie grabs a partial bottle of water from one of the tables, "Sorry, best I can do on no notice." She offers it to him.

[Will Stanton]

"No problem. No problem at all. Not used to needing it at all," he said, smiling as he took the bottle from her. "You're too kind."

"Just happy to help," Natalie says, looking embarrassed.

[Will Stanton]

Will grinned at the embarrassed Natalie, and snuck in to gave her a quick peck on the cheek. "Seriously. You guys risked your lives for me. I'll have to repay the favor at some point."

The kiss seems to embarrass her even more. "It's what the X-Men do. I believe that *is* in the handbook." In the back of her mind, she dashes off a quick text to Sam to let her know Will's up and about.

[Will Stanton]

Will giggled at the embarrassed Natalie, but decided to ease up on the teasing. For now. "Well, I'll make sure I let whoever's running this show know that you performed your duties adequately," he said, mock-seriously.

He smiled, and started drinking his water...slowing down and blinking a few times.

"Are you...quite alright?" he said, turning around to see Cam.

[Cam Beckett]

Cam had his hands on both sides of his temple and was staring at Will intently.

"Hrm. Interesting. It seems that you're either not picking up on my thoughts, or that you're paying too much attention to be overwritten at the moment. I was testing to see if I could activate your shifting remotely, and yet you're not a cup of coffee yet. Very interesting."

[Will Stanton]

"...I see. Keep me posted on that..." Will said, cocking his head to one side and continuing to drink.

He blinked, and looked at the water bottle. "Huh. OK then."

[Natalie Denisov]

"Something wrong with the water? Cause we've got more around here somewhere."

[Will Stanton]

"No, no, it's just...

...If Cam's sending 'be a drink' signals my way, it'd explain why I'm thirsty. I don't get thirsty. I just spent the last I don't know how long as a bucket of fat and then dolla dolla bills y'all, and I wasn't thirsty. That's...interesting," he shrugged, taking another sip.

"Also apparently proves that I'm smarter than Cam. You know, Will-power and all that," he giggled.

That's about the point at which Sam finally got back with Nailah, holding a styrofoam cup of coffee black enough that it seems to drink in any ambient light.

"Oh my god, you weren't kidding. You got him walking!"

[Will Stanton]

Walking, talking, smiling -- but something was still a little off.

He wasn't there. At least, that's what her telepathic senses were telling her. The other minds in the room? Perfectly clear to see, but it was like Will was a blank space -- not just nothing, but almost a negative signal, if that made sense. Unlike the time in Cerebro or her experience at the mint, there was no doubt that Will was, indeed, standing there -- but still, she couldn't find his mind.


"Actually, between you and me, Sam, it's a highly-complicated marionette act they've got going on at the moment," he stage-whispered, conspiratorially, walking over, arms outstretched.

[Samantha McManus]

"...something's wrong," she says, shoving the cup of coffee in Cam's general direction.

"I still can't feel you, Will."

[Will Stanton]

"I'm right here, Sam. There's no need to worry," he smiled, coming in for a hug. "See? Nothing to worry about. You guys saved me."

[Narrator]

It's almost as if her mind is slipping right off the spot Will should be in, like a blindspot that just gets pasted over. It almost feels a little familiar, just with less choking...

"Will's back!" Nailah cheers, despite Sam's concerns. Because he's obviously right there, looking perfectly fine.

[Cam Beckett]

Cam took a long sip from his coffee, and smacked his lips, standing a little awkward at all these hugs and friendly stuff and things. Not scientific. Not scientific at all.

[Samantha McManus]

Sam shivers a bit as she's hugged.

"Sorry, sorry, it's not you, just..."

"...bad memory."

[Natalie Denisov]

"We haven't been able to get the Setec stuff out of him yet. That might be interfering with things," Natalie suggests, trying to be helpful.

[Will Stanton]

"Well, I'm'a not going to let go until you have better memories. So there," Will grinned up at her.

[Samantha McManus]

"Uhm... Tosh? Have you gotten all that far with the stuff we brought back from Russia?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Only so far as to say Islands Industries is so far ahead of the curve that Will's revelation that aliens exist would actually explain a lot. That and the really weird skin sample I plucked off of it that led me to, of all places, a conspiracy theory forum. A weird Russian guy is sending me some... uhh... 'research material'."

[Will Stanton]

"I'll be happy to go over everything I know with you at some point, Tosh, though you'll excuse me if I spend the next six hours doing cartwheels."

[Samantha McManus]

"...new wrinkle, Tosh. Will's mind feels like... that guy who got handsy with me in Sevastopol."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"That's... weird... though somehow I doubt Finn is in league with the quote, unquote 'secret lizard people'."

[Samantha McManus]

"It might be a red herring, but I figured you ought to know."

[Will Stanton]

"You can rest assured that I'm me, though, Sam -- I don't know what feels familiar, but I don't think I've ever been to Sevastopol."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Anything else unusual you can you can tell me?"

[Will Stanton]

"The list of things that people find unusual about me would fill several small books."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Large. Large books," he teased.

"But no. I meant Sam's trip to Russia."

[Samantha McManus]

"Well we already got debriefed on those weirdo corporate guys, aye?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Yeah. Though I'm seriously thinking there's more to them than financial interest. That tech is... just too advanced for that purpose."

[Will Stanton]

"Well, I'm sure we'll keep an eye out there -- I'll try to get up to speed," he said, finally releasing Sam from the Hug of Doom.

"Before you run off to celebrate your freedom, do you have just a moment, Will?" Ashlie asks, once everyone's initial excitement has run it's course.

[Will Stanton]

"Yeah, sure," he said, quickly turning around to address everyone else before giving ASHLIE his undivided attention.

"I'm buying everyone dinner tonight, by the by. Very least I can do to thank you all for saving me."
