But I doubt Sam cares about our nerd shit. My mad dice skills have nothing to do with her future celebrity drummer status. " She chuckled.

"Two reasons:

One: Trev needs to attract a lady friend and I am pretty sure that bickering with his girlbro about which make believe people accidentally destroyed what imaginary landmarks is not a skill that impresses.

Two: If Trev's gonna be in the band, even if it's a metal band, he's not going to be able to get away with motionless standing. It ups his chances as potential lead vocals."

Despite the harsh assessment, her tone seemed amiable.

"Well... I mean, that'd be pretty ironic, because she came from just about the most anti-mutant family in the Chicagoland area, and she basically told me to never speak to her again after I sent her boyfriend flying into the trophy case with my voice." Trev pondered aloud, not really paying attention to Sam as she *easily* slipped into his mind and grabbed the image of an athletic though conservatively-dressed brunette named Stephanie. In the particular memory that was floating around the surface of Trev's memory at the moment, she was standing jaw agape and with her hands over her ears as a younger, even chubbier Trev stood with his hands clapped over his mouth in shock while a crowd of onlookers stared in silence.
