[WAMH] Wakey, wakey...

Sam is evidently an early riser, as her large presence is absent from the bed as the smell of bacon wafts over to Tereza.

Tereza snuffled and after a bit of struggling with sleepiness, she rose. She pulled on a robe and wandered out to the living area with her nose sniffing the air.

Sam is dressed, and standing at the stove over a frying pan. There's a plate of bacon nearby, and she seems to be working on some eggs. There's a discarded supermarket bag in the wastebasket.

"Had a feeling that would wake you up," she smirks.

"Hopefully I didn't snore. I've been told I growl in my sleep though," she said, snatching a piece of bacon and chewing thoughtfully on it.

"You do. It's surprisingly cute. I just hope my hair didn't get everywhere."

"Sunny side up or over easy?"

"Over easy," she said, "Your hair was fine."

"Just not used to having to worry about someone else, aye?" She says as she flips the eggs.

"Not that I'm complaining."

"Just feels 'natural', right?" Tereza said with a chuckle. "You're a good bed warmer, so you're welcome to stay here for as long as you want."

"Doesn't mean I won't still feel the need to repay the hospitality," she says as she slides the eggs onto a plate and holds it out to Tereza.

Tereza takes the plate and some more bacon and sits at the tiny dining table. "So is there anything you need? I don't have much to do today other than keep an eye on you."

She shrugs.

"Going to have to find some work, I suppose. Probably something a bit longer lasting than usual."

"I can make a few calls. Someone might have something open. Let me guess... mechanic work... bouncing... and basket weaving?" She grinned.

She snorts.

"Two out of three isn't bad, as I recall."

"I take it you wouldn't be interested in working at the Sunset Club."

"I could probably avoid punching the proprietress in the face, if that's what you're asking."

"We'll save that for plan Z. There's a couple of dives I want to call first and one mechanic shop that I know of that might be looking for someone." She tilted her head, "You have any family?"

She gets a bit silent at that, cracking another two eggs for herself. Then she lets out a long breath and speaks.

"...aye."

"Good to know. Missing persons cases complicate matters, especially when one is seeking employment." She munched on her breakfast, "Not that there aren't ways around that too, but simplify etc."

"...was hard enough explaining my growth spurt already."

"Not to them, mind. They don't know."

There was a sudden pounding on the stairwell door.

"...expecting company?" Sam asks, tensing as she transfers her eggs to a plate.

"No," she said, standing and pulling the robe more tightly around herself. She gestured and Sister rose from her cushion and floated through the door and down the stairs.

Down at the front door, the spirit wolf stuck her head through the door, looking to see who was banging on it.

"...then they'd better make a good case for themselves," Sam growls, cracking her knuckles.

"Wait, what? You should not be here. Why? Are you bound here?" She looked directly at the spirit wolf "door knocker".

The wolf spirit harumphed in disdain, eyeing her for a moment before retreating back upstairs.

Sister settled around Tereza's shoulders. A most unusual visitor. We should let her in. "Well, I guess that answers that," Tereza said, getting up. "I'll be back shortly." She headed down the stairs.

After a bit, the lock in the front door turned and a woman in a house robe opened the door. The wolf spirit was curled up on her shoulders, looking contented. "Yes, can I help you?"

Sam grits her teeth, forcing her wolf back down as she focuses on breathing.

She was not expected, but with a spirit, once again it was too late for playing true human.

"The very tall woman at the bar said you may be able to locate this man." She held out the photo.

"She also said for you to pay your tab. I assume that is a type of debt, it would be wise to pay, the Night's Children have very long memories."

"Hmph." Tereza peered at the photograph and then stepped out of the way and gestured up the stairs. "Come in. Can't very well have you standing on the doorstep talking about the 'Night's Children'."

Sam fixes her yellow-green eyes on the stairway, intent on seeing just what sort of person they were dealing with.

"If I must. I have little time to spare." She stepped past, her scent unusual, the human aspect similar to one person wearing the coat of another. To spirit sight that was exactly what walked in the door, a wolf wearing a "coat".

Tereza eyed her as she walked up the stairs, following shortly after. "My name is Tereza and this is Sam," she said, making introductions. "She says she needs to find someone," she explained to Sam, not seeming to care whether Sam had already heard the conversation or not.

Sam tilts her head at Viv in confusion, not quite sure what she's seeing.

"...she was the one making all that racket?"

"From outside the structure gave little to pinpoint your locations within." She offered the photo to Sam.

"I am called Vivienne."

Sam raises a brow when Tereza says 'not one of us,' peering at Viv with even more confusion before looking back to the picture.

"...afraid I just arrived in town, myself."

"Under better conditions I would have preferred to not have had any contact with you or the Night Walker. I did not know what she was until I approached her, by then it was too late. She said you might have information on his location. He is traveling with a pup. If I return with her and his head, it is possible I will be forgiven for my mistakes."

Tereza raised an eyebrow. "A pup... you mean a natural born? It'll be hard to find a man with a human child in this city."

"...so you want us to take out a bloody slaver."

"I don't think I need much more motivation than that."
