[WAMH] Looking For A Rescue

The cabbie was pissy with them by the time they arrived in the neighborhood that Sister indicated was where they needed to be. They'd changed directions several times and then Tereza had them dropped off at a corner. There were rows and rows of houses. "Weird he'd hide here. Seems like there would be a lot of people around," she said.

"There would be very little "keeping" of the pup. She's had no training, no experience with human things. She would be loud and destructive, terrified of everything."

"Unless he's counting on the number of people tying our hands."

"Joke's on him. I'm happy to beat his arse just as I am."

"Good to know. The public setting definitely limits our options," she said as she started walking down the street, following Sister.

"Too many eyes." She followed Tereza and the spirit.

"So we make him the one who has to go loud, if he wants to get out of this."

The house had a small alley on one side and what looked like a small garden behind it. As they approached, the hair on the back of their necks would start to rise. "I don't like this," Tereza said. "Something's off. I can't put my finger on it though."

"It is too quiet. She would not be this quiet unless she were unconscious, even then it would take an unusual amount of your modern medications to achieve that."

"Not going to know unless we go in," she says, heading down the alleyway.

"Someone take the front. He's not getting out."

"I'll take the front," Tereza said. "Vivienne, go with her."

Vivienne nodded and turn back around to head towards the front of the house. Every few steps she inhaled deeply, the action familiar if she were a quadruped, in her currant incarnation it looked a little like she was trying to catch her breath or had a case of the sniffles.

Sam quirks a brow at Viv over her shoulder, looking back ahead and sniffing a few times, wondering if there's something she's missing as she approaches the back.

The back of the house smells pretty much like house, though there's the tell-tale scent that a wolf has been brought in here. The back garden has an amount of overgrowth with a small cleared area and a cleared path up to the back door. Despite the overgrowth, none of the plants look healthy.

"He brought her through here." She said to Sam as she rejoins her.

She nods quietly, putting a finger to her lips as she circles around to the back door.

The back door was fairly unremarkable. It looked like it had both a dead bolt and a handle lock. There was also a small window through which they could see a kitchen.

Sam quietly tries the door, on the off chance it's not locked.

Vivienne stood with her back to Sam watching the garden.

The nob turned, so the door was apparently not locked. Sam didn't hear any sort of response inside.

Sam looks in the window, trying to get a sense for the room inside.

The kitchen is in better shape than the garden, but not by much. There's grocery store bags sitting on the counter and a small table up against one wall. It looks like the back door goes straight into the kitchen and from there into a small hallway.

"Lead on." Viv whispers, standing close to Sam.

Sam eases the door open, slipping inside and holding it for Viv so it doesn't slam.

As the two of them enter the house, there's a *poof* and the two of them are showered in a strange smelling powder. The powder blurs their vision briefly with it's fog and when their vision clears, they each find themselves in a different place.

Their heads began to clear. Sam was still shifted and both of them could feel the pain of the injuries they had sustained. In front of them was the hallway and behind them was the door out into the garden.

"...bloody hell, I liked that outfit," the immense red-furred wolf woman growls in frustration.

"I will need to bathe for an entire week. That illusion was most foul."

The floor around them seemed to be covered in some sort of powder and there was a bottle over the door that looked as if it had been the delivery system. Their heightened senses would pick up the sound of movement on the house's second floor.

Vivienne picked up the bottle, carefully wrapped it in a towel and set it in a bush just outside the door.

"I think I prefer you like this, your coloration is stunning. You would have your pick of mates within my pack. So, shall we head up?"

"Oh, I've got some frustrations to work out on this bastard," she snarls as she starts down the hallway.

The interior of the house was in okay shape and it was small enough that finding the stairs up to the second floor wasn't a problem.

Viv stays a few steps behind, watching their backs once more.

When they get to the second floor, there's a small bedroom that looks like it's been occupied recently. Another door looks to be a small bathroom. There's a third door that's shut and they can hear some sort of rhythmic vocal noise behind it.

"Oh, bloody lovely," she mutters, heading towards the door with the chanting and trying the knob as stealthily as someone her size can.

The knob turns, but the door feels like it's barred in some way.

"...you don't get away that easily."

"Give me some room," she says to Viv, backing up in preparation for charging the door.

The bar wasn't intended to keep a werewolf like Sam out and she breaks both it and the door in the process of the charge. The room itself looks to have been set-up as an impromptu lab. The "pup" is unconscious on the table with an IV pole next to it. There's a man across the room, holding a vial of red liquid up to the light with one hand while a glass globe filled with some sort of angry writhing liquid dangles from his other hand. "That's far enough."
