After they returned to Tereza's apartment, Tereza went and fished around in the bathroom for a bit, coming out with bandaging supplies. "Okay, remnants of the shirt off and let me look at those injuries."

Sam sighs, stripping off the bloodied tatters.

"Yes, Mum," she grumbles.

Tereza smirked and sat down behind her and began looking closely at the injuries. "Yeah, this looks like you got hit with silver. What happened in there?"

"Viv already said there was a nasty surprise waiting for us at the back door. It wasn't an ordinary nightmare."

Tereza made a thoughtful noise, "Apparently your nightmare involves getting stabbed by silver. What was it like?"

"Yes, I was stabbed in the nightmare. I already said I don't want to talk about it, alright?" She curls a lip.

Tereza tilted her head slightly, submitting. "Fine, fine. I'm sorry. I'm just trying to help."

"Magic frequently does. Thankfully it's *usually* pretty rare relatively speaking." She began gently applying bandages to the stab wounds.

"Well good," she says with a wince as Tereza cleans and wraps her wounds.

"I mean, I'm still out of sorts from having shifted and all, and never getting to so much as lay a finger on the bastard."

"We'll get someone to look at what he was up to and then we'll hunt him down. You'll get another crack at him. Food will be here in a little bit and that'll take some of the edge off the shifting thing."

"If I'm going to do it, I'm not going to shift back until morning anyway. It already wants out too much from earlier."

"You ever get like that? Where you just have to do something with it?"

"Sometimes. We tend to have regular runs to keep it in check, but even that isn't enough sometimes. Sometimes you just have to take a shaggy around the house day."

"One of the many reasons we band together. To serve as psychologists for each other." She finished and leaned against Sam's back, careful not to put pressure on the injuries.

There was a knock on the door and Tereza got up with a soft growl. After a moment she came back with food and pulled out a bucket of fried chicken. "Dig in. I'll get some napkins."

Sam smirks at the growl.

"What, had you gotten comfortable?" She chuckles as she takes a drumstick from the bucket.

"I'd say my suspicions you view me as furniture appear to be well-founded," she grins before taking a bite with a flash of teeth.

"Oh, I remember. I'm also really rusty at this, so my brain is making tying me in knots and second guesses and..." She sighed and smiled, "Just tired of being lonely in a crowd, yeah?"

"You're good company. I don't know how much of that is me being lonely, how much of it is some apparent subconscious longing for a packmate, or whatever."

"Well," she took a deep breath, "Maybe we can curb each other's loneliness and if it gets to be something more, that's okay too."

"...aye," she says with a faint smile.

"And I know I put that in awfully bloody formal terms, but I get the feeling that to my wolf, it's a lot simpler," she remarks as she sets down a completely stripped bone on a napkin, her nostrils flaring as she levels her yellow-green eyes at Tereza.
