As the steam grew thicker Vivienne slashed down and across her body with her whip, aiming to knock Kayla's sword aside as she side stepped and swung Cal in a wide arch.

Viv's swipe knocks Kayla's blade out of the way, but then Kayla leans backwards, her body bending at an angle a human frame should not support. As Cal swings across, she lashes out with her own whip, trying to lash it close to the cross guard and Vivienne's hand.

The Morrigan brings up both bony cudgels and swings them smashing down on the rat-thing's snout and skull.

The rat collapses, but not before grabbing her belt, slowing her down with its dead weight as more rats close in to pile onto her. One of them goes flying as Eliana's fist slams into the side of its head as she moves to try to open up the group a bit for Sam.

The fight between Vivienne and Kayla continues, lashes flailing back and forth and sword swings just barely missing one another, but it's soon obvious that Kayla's weaponry is no match for the Lady of the Lake and Cal.

The horde begins to fragment as Kayla's driven to her knees with Vivienne's sword at her throat.
