Xaviers!

It's a dark-ish room. Well, it was really more of a large enclosed space. Stout door and only one way in or out unless they wanted to claw their way through the concrete. The moon isn't up yet, but Tereza had still had them locked in the room ahead of time. As the clock ticked down towards the appointed hour, she slips out of her clothes and tosses them into a metal bin with a locking lid. "You're going to want to fight the change," Tereza says to Haley, "And that's good as far as it goes. But you need to fight the curse, not the shift. You'll see what I mean when it happens. Don't fight the shift itself, that will just make it hurt *more*."

Haley paced the room at a near-frantic pace, still clothed. Her eyes had already washed to a vibrant yellow, but she hadn't seemed to notice. She nodded at each point, face screwed into a nervous frown. "I-is it normally to feel so...so tingly everywhere?"

"It is," Tereza says, "And if you want to keep your clothes, you'll take the opportunity to strip now before the change makes up your mind for you."

Haley looked at her naked friend, suddenly taking notice that she was naked and her own clothes were still on. Her eyes lingered a moment on all of the tattoo work on her body...and well other things too. "Oh...uh...right."

She started to strip out of her clothes, tossing them into the same metal container Tereza had. Standing there naked, she shivered a bit.

"And now...we wait, I guess..."

"After a bit, you get used to it. At least you know the change is coming," Tereza says, padlocking the bin. "Moonrise should be any minute now. You can hear it humming right? Like the moon is singing to you?"

"...yeah," she said, taking increasing notice of the hum. "It...it's really strange. But...sort of beautiful."

"How long did it take you to learn to change on your own without the moon?"

"It happened in fits and starts for a while, but I didn't really know what I was or what I was doing. Hopefully, it won't take you as long with me teaching you."

"Yeah...I think it should hel--" Haley's thought was interrupted as she doubled over in pain, gasping.

"Holy...shit..."

She fell to her hands and knees, bones crackling.

Tereza drops to her knees as well as her own change overtakes her, "Let the change happen, but hold on to who you are," she growls out.

Haley just screamed in response as her rib cage broke and rearranged itself. Her face twisted up in pain as her whole body spasmed, wiry fur sprouting across her skin.

“My name…” she gasped, her teeth sharpening into razor-like fangs “…is Haley.”

She let out another scream that sounded more like a roar as more bones snapped and shifted, her face contorting into a muzzle.

“Haley!” a voice far deeper than her normal one snarled with an unfamiliar tongue and jaw.

Tereza didn''t have more time to coach her as she focused on her own change, letting it wash over her. It sounded every bit as painful as Haley's, but she growls her way through it as the rippling coat of silver-white fur covers her and obscures her tattoos.

There was one last sickening series of cracks and pops before Haley's body gave one last shudder and she was left on the floor panting. Her head slowly turned towards Tereza, and her lips curled back in a low growl as she stood herself up and shook out her coat. Haley’d always wanted to be taller, and she’d certainly gotten her wish, rising up to nearly 7 feet tall. Her fur was a uniformly light gray that covered an impressively muscled physique.

She didn’t look especially in control of her faculties as she snarled and leapt towards the other werewolf in the room.

Tereza sidesteps with a spin and lashes out with a fist aimed at the back of the leaping werewolf's head.

Haley wasn't exactly used to her body so Tereza easily dodged the tackle, but at the last minute, Haley raked with her claws as she rushed past before taking the hit to the back of the skull and landing with a tumble into the wall. She scrambled into a crouch and snarled at Tereza, but seemed to hesitate before rushing again.

Tereza growls back, blood staining her fur from the claw rake though that doesn't seem to phase her. She moves closer to Haley, the growl growing in intensity as she looms.

Haley seems to try and shake her head as if to clear it several times, but the looming, growling Tereza seems to make her lose focus, and she growls back before springing forward with jaw wide open for a bite attack.

Tereza drops low, lunging forward with her shoulder as Haley gets close. Haley's jaws do find some flesh before Tereza's motion slams her back into the wall hard.

Haley lets out a yelp as she slams into the wall and slides down to the floor. She picks herself up again and shakes her head trying to clear it and regain some focus. She lets out a low growl towards Tereza, but for the moment seems to be trying to hold back.

"That's it," Tereza somehow manages to convey to her. "You know me."

Haley panted and stared at Tereza, growling intermittently, but seeming to catch her meaning.

Tereza squats down in front of her, looking her over carefully. On some level, Haley can feel Tereza's presence. It's the older, wiser wolf and as the initial shock begins to wear off, Tereza's presence actually becomes mildly comforting if no less scary.

Haley's growls subsided as Tereza got down on her level.

"...scared...hungry."

"I'm here. Protect you," she conveys, though it isn't words so much.

"...thank...you " a faint, static-y and growly voice replied in Tereza's mind. Haley was in what appeared to be a relaxed crouch, breathing more steadily and calmly.

Tereza's mind seems to be taking the brunt of the moon induced madness at the moment, shielding Haley from it. She scoots over to a crate, ripping it open and tossing some of the crates contents Haley's way. Said contents seem to be packaged meat of some sort.

Haley's nostrils flared at the scent of the food, and she dove across the room, tearing into the packaging ravenously.

Tereza rips into a package of her own with her teeth, munching on the contents more thoughtfully as she watches Haley.

Haley tore through some of it, but for the most part seemed to be eating everything, packaging included. Just some extra fiber right?

A bit of butcher's paper hanging from her lower lip, she lumbered over to the crate to see if there was more.

There is some more, but it isn't a lot and she's probably going to still be hungry in the morning. Tereza just watches her, seeing how her animal brain responds.

Haley tore into the remaining food without any hesitation ignoring Tereza until it was gone. She looked around the room hungrily and a bit anxiously.

Tereza snorts and finishes her own food, licking her teeth before settling back into a more relaxed position.

Haley stared at the door to the room, tail twitching

Tereza lets out a low rumbling growl with a decidedly negative connotation. "Not safe."

Haley let out an annoyed huff, still staring at the door, pondering how how well she might be able to wrench it open.

Then she bolted for the door to try.

Tereza lunges after her, slamming her away from the door just as she gets her fingers on it. She comes up on all fours, growling.

Haley tumbles backwards and skids on her back for several feet with a frustrated growl. She rolled over into a crouch and bared her fangs at Tereza.

"want...out..."

"Dangerous." Tereza bares her own fangs as if daring Haley to make something of it.

Haley snarled and lunged at Tereza as she stood in the way of her escape through the door, slashing with her claws and biting wildly.

Tereza moves into the lunge, crashing into Haley. She doesn't try to stop Haley from clawing her, trying to get an opening for her own claws and teeth.

Haley slashes across Tereza's belly and bites into her shoulder, but she's left herself completely open to counterattack.
