Surfs Up!

A beautiful beach-side town in a vaguely Californian climate full of colorful characters and whacky hijinks! Though at night not everything is as it seems...

"Somebody's cheating!" a young girl's voice suddenly reverberates through everything, the sand in Thresher's throat and gills derezzing as Conduit's influence sweeps through the simulation.

Thresher meanwhile narrows his eyes at the two people who just managed to hurt him and he jumps, clearing the crater between them. As he's in the air the launchers in his other arm fire another salvo of cluster-rockets at bear before the giant cybernetic shark slams into Bruce.

Bruce made a futile attempt at blocking and temporarily became a flying fish as he was sent sprawling. He wasted no time before kicking at his opponent and scrambling back, hoping to happen upon a useful piece of buggy debris.

Bear ran as quick as she could, flinging the beach rocks at the incoming cluster bombs incoming.

“Tosh... Tosh! This isn’t real! We need to break the illusion!”

Tosh manages to pull out a chunk of buggy that resembles a sword more than it has any right to. As if somebody hastily tried to wrench available pieces into a shape. Before he can bring it to bear in an attack Thresher is on him, razorsharp teeth snapping.

The rocks punch through the rockets, detonating them at a distance, the shockwave only blowing Bear's hair dramatically.

Bruce jammed the psuedo-sword's blade flat between the chomping jaws and poured current through the metal. It didn't take his other genius self to know metal teeth plus electrical hazard equals bad for cyborgs.

It did indeed. It also made Thresher's muscles spasm and his jaw clenches even tighter on the blade until it finally snaps with a sudden, almost explosive discharge of electricity that knocks the both of them down.

Fighting Thresher is slowly taking it's toll on everyone. Unlike them he just doesn't seem to tire and while he does feel pain it seems muted. Or maybe he just doesn't care and is pushing through it. Either way his cybernetics don't fatigue like muscles do, his body doesn't protest the same way Bruce's and Bear's do to being knocked around, pelted by explosions and sand. His attacks don't really drain his energy because they're powered by some kind of battery or generator and he just keeps coming. Bruce manages to hold him off while Bear and Haley pelt him with projectiles and telekinetic force and finally he seems to slow down. Metal joints a little bend, his explosive arsenals depleted and not being refilled with hard-light munitions as Conduit initially promised him. But still he wails on Bruce until suddenly the ground seems to slip more than the sand normally should. Everything slips inward as the simulation shrinks down massively.
