Tereza returns to the steak, picking one up to chew on before tossing a second one to Isolde. “I think I remember where their house is. I drove past it on my way to the... diner.”

As she contemplates the food, Isolde feels her stomach get super unsettled in a phantom way for a moment. But the food is fine and the feeling passes.
