Xaviers!

The VW bug rolled it's way up to the police station, parking just outside. They hadn't encountered any traffic along the way, which was odd enough for this time of day. It was almost as if everything had been abandoned.

"What's happening here?" She asks as the three get out.

"Where are all the people?"

"This isn't right."

"No. No, I suppose it isn't," the radio crackled to life before Will shifted back to normal.

"After you. And you. And you."

As Sam approaches the door, the door starts to open as if something is pushing it's way out. That's when the canine nose and white muzzle appears, slowly followed by the rest of the head as Tereza peers outside.

"...oh!"

"Some sort of..."

"It's a dog!"

The redhead of the trio is beaming.

"Somehow, I had a feeling it might be.

I don't suppose you want to love it and feed it and name it George?" he said, with the faint ghost of a grin.

The head stops at the exclamation and the 'dog' seems to be sizing up Sam and Will and gauging their reaction. Since the immediate reaction is favorable, she pushes further out, the door opening even wider as the werewolf body follows. Sam? Are you... you?

"B-big dog..."

"...no. Not a dog."

"We... know you?"

Will remained at the bottom of the stairs, somewhat awkwardly looking away under the pretense of scanning the neighboring buildings for movement.

It's me, Tereza. You remember me, right? You remember... us, right? She holds very still, trying to be as non-threatening as a werewolf can be... which is not very.

"Tereza?"

"Stop... stop..."

"Stop crowding our heads. We need to think."

Will sighed and put his hands in his suit pockets, wandering down the road a ways.

They'd always have Hollydale.

Tereza pulled her thoughts back to her head, hiding them behind the wolf. Then she turned her head to look at Will and moved after him, shifting as she went, obviously not caring in the slightest that she wasn't dressed. "Will."

"Afternoon, Tereza," Will said, stopping but not yet turning around. "Crazy weather we've been having."

The Sams are pacing in a circle, varying looks of confusion and concentration crossing their faces.

"It has been a little wild of late. Quite California," she says, "Where you off to?"

"Nowhere, and everywhere," he said, turning around, and blinking a little bit at Tereza's state of undress. His eyes were a little red around the edges.

"Did you..need a coat? Hollydale is...was a good, Christian town, and I'm not sure people would appreciate someone walking around au natural."

"No, I'm good. I'll get back into my coat eventually," she says, "I'm more concerned about you at the moment."

Will paused for a moment, finding the pavement incredibly interesting to study.

"I'll keep. Sam will need you when she comes to, though," he finally said, quietly.

"She'll need you too," Tereza says, "We'll both need you."

"No. She...you both need someone who puts the other one first.

I'll keep. I'll...punch whatever needs punching."

Tereza frowns as she processes what he's saying, "It's okay to be a little selfish every now and then, Will." She glances back at Sam, obviously concerned but not sure how to help her, "On some level, I think she does care about you... that way." She turns back to Will, "And you should know I'm good with that. I told you once that Sam's her own woman, she can do what she likes. The only person who's going to be upset over your attraction to Sam is you."

"There's a little selfish, and then there's...

...Nevermind. Water under the bridge. Spilt milk. We'll...just move on, best we can."

He sighed.

"How long have you....known?"

"I had a suspicion after our discussion at the pool when I told you that she and I were dating. I pick up hints of it every now and then."

Will frowned. "I meant about...this place. Not being right."

He was clearly trying to change the subject, and not very successfully.

"Since I got to the 'diner', station, prison, whatever it is," Tereza says in a tone that indicates she's accepting the topic change only by filing away the previous topic for later. "The rumors that I was sneaking around with the redhead were the breaking point. I'm many things, including an asshole, but I'm no homewrecker."

"No, you're not. Whoever...whoever is in charge here miscast us," he said, clenching his hands into a fist, his knuckles going white. "I have some constructive feedback I'd like to give in a one-on-one notes session."

Tereza's lip curls and her eyes go back to yellow, "Isolde and I will hold her down while you give her your notes. Whoever she is, she has a lot to pay for."

"Isolde's in this mess, too?" Will blinked, surprised. "I thought it was just us three. Five. Whatever."

"Yeah, whoever's controlling this came after us because we weren't playing nice with it. She locked us up and put Isolde in a black box. The 'Narrator', for lack of a better term, said she wasn't sure why we were giving her more trouble than the 'red-head or those two glitchy gals', so there may even be more."

"Fucking shithole god-damned piece of CRAP!" Will swore, spitting, breaking all possible laws of the setting they were in.

"There's not going to be anything left for you to hold down, Tereza, I swear to God."

Tereza grins at him her teeth already sharpening, "Then let's get our Morrigan back, then her champion and her wolves can go hunting."

"Her champion is her wolf, here," Will said, resting a hand on Tereza's shoulder. "But I will be right behind you."

The bitter-sweet moment is interrupted when a streak of visual distortion streaks across the sky and lands almost daintily, as if gravity didn't really apply to the young girl as she sets down in the middle of the street.

"You guys. Are the absolute worst!" she informs them with the ridiculous outrage only a young teenager in a sundress can muster.

That voice cuts through Tereza's good mood and she whirls to face Conduit. The change ripples across her body with all the associated unpleasant noises as she growls, "You!"

"Who?" Will said, tensing up and going into a defensive pose.

The three Sams snap to attention at the disturbance, and the new arrival can almost palpably feel their gazes as they all swivel to her.

"Conduit."

Isolde steps out of the police station, since there's no longer anyone to avoid disturbing.

"So that's the one, is it?" She asks Tereza.

"Sounds like," Tereza growls in a manner almost unintelligible to anyone but Isolde.

"Yeah, the one who's world you wrecked! I was gonna be nice enough to just trap you in my new one but noooo, that's not good enough for you people! You had to ruin this one too!"
