Curriculum Vitae:
Cass was a promising student in the emerging field of data analysis at UCLA. During her Phd program she grew increasingly withdrawn and erratic, often disappearing for days at a time before emerging from her apartment with a new direction to take her research in. Sometimes brilliant, sometimes bordering on the unhinged, these theories and changes in focus eventually cost her her position and poisoned the well for any chances to continue pursuing her Phd elsewhere. However, she did not give up on what she believed to be important and developed the beginnings of an algorithm that managed to deduce valuable data from seemingly spurious correlations. This came to a head when she discovered the connection between per capita cheese consumption and death by bedsheet entanglement which was, as we of course now know, due to the spread of "Fae Rings" on cow pastures in Wisconsin.

Upon the discovery that Miss MacPherson had deduced the presence (if not the cause) of this connection prior to the Agency even becoming aware of it she was immediately recruited into the department for Analytical Synchronicity.
