Power Explanation: Shane is a plant controller with the ability to absorb (currently unavailable) and generate plant material, but due to a power accident he has become a plant-based shapeshifter with regenerative abilities.
History: Shane's powers came on at 15 in a thoroughly unremarkable manner. Manipulating plants was simple enough that he didn't need much in the way of control lessons. However that all changed when, on his 18th birthday, he got behind the wheel drunk and plowed into a tree. He ended up lying in a thicket, impaled by a broken branch. His powers drew in the surrounding plants to repair the soon to be fatal wound. When the doctors removed the branch, the wound closed itself but he was still in extreme pain. He was sent to Muir for stabilization and treatment before being discharged to attend XU. He has since completed his metamorphosis into a plant person.
