Name: Natalie Denisov
Codename: Intercept
Age: 19
Country of Origin: United Kingdom
Hometown: Cardiff, Wales

Power: Natalie possesses a variation of technopathy. She needs some sort of receiver in order to manipulate or read the signals, which is why she always has her smartphone on her. With proximity, she can alter a device's programming, allowing her some control over it. She has bricked several devices doing this though, so she's working on learning more about how the devices work so she can understand what she's doing.

Because her brain is used to looking at and visualizing things in their digital/radio terms, it's theoretically possible that she could, for example, convert things she's seen into images that could be placed onto an actual electronic device.

Personality: Natalie strikes people as the type of young woman who would always have her nose buried in her phone, except she almost never takes it out of her pocket. She's friendly enough when she's not talking to thin-air because she's "on" a phone call. Isolating her completely from technology seems to cause her significant anxiety, but thankfully, in the modern world, such situations are rare.

Description: Natalie is pretty average in most respects, though she is fond of dying her brunette hair to a vibrant red. Her typical clothing indicates someone who is comfortable, but not rich.

Background: Natalie grew up the child of a single parent in Cardiff. Her father was absentee almost from the moment she was conceived, so she spares him very little thought. Thankfully, her mom was already doing well before Natalie came along, so she didn't want for much growing up.

As she came into her abilities, she began to hear voices. Afraid of mental illness, her mother took her to all sorts of doctors, but none of them could find anything wrong and none of the medication she was put on seemed to help. Finally, one doctor suggested that she contact X-Corp and have her daughter tested. Desperate to find out what was wrong, her mother took her to X-Corp right away and was relieved when her daughter was identified as a mutant.

Sent to the Institute, she learned significant control and went on to a normal university, but a 'friend' outed her as a mutant and informed the faculty about her power. Accused of academic dishonesty, despite no other evidence than "good grades" and "mutant", she gave up on that venue and applied to attend Xavier's instead, hoping for a hardship mid-term admission.

I am not certain you meet our requirements for being a volatile Xavier's redhead, but I believe we can admit you on a trial basis.
