Stephanie Kaltiera

Postby Stephanie Kaltiera » Tue Apr 11, 2017 3:20 am

Name:Stephanie Kaltiera
Age: 19
Country of Origin: USA
Hometown: Chicago, IL

Power: Feral Shapeshifting (wolf)
Stephanie’s mutation is basically X-gene triggered lycanthropy. She’s able to transform into a hybrid wolf-human form, as well as a large wolf. Additional abilities go along with the shapeshifting
Enhanced senses: Available in all forms, though they’re significantly better the more wolf-like she becomes.
Enhanced healing and endurance: As many shifters, Stephanie’s body’s ability to rearrange itself rather dramatically means it needs to be able to mend itself quickly. She’s no Wolverine or X-23, but she’s got some staying power in a fight. Minor scrapes heal in minutes, major wounds in hours.
Enhanced strength: in hybrid form, able to exert significant additional force (about enough to flip over a compact car, or lift several hundred kilos overhead)
All of that is all well and good, but Stephanie found out about her powers extremely late (about a month ago) at age 19. She has currently little to no control over her powers, and after years of suppressing her more feral side, it is ready to assert itself. Since her power accident, she’s spent a great deal of her time in her hybrid form, unable to change back. She’s not currently able to transform into a full wolf. She is capable of speech in her hybrid form with some difficulty.

Personality:
Stephanie was raised in an extremely conservative household by a family that felt that mutants were evil abominations, so she’s still coming to grips with the fact that she is, in fact, an evil abomination. She’s always had a bit of a rebellious streak running through her overall extremely straight-laced, honor roll student core—something that’s likely due to the feral side of her brain lurking just below the surface for a long time. She rarely curses (more when her other half is driving), typically favors conservative though certainly not frumpy attire (limited at the moment by being a giant werewolf), and is a dedicated vegetarian (her other half has some things to say about the lack of meat in her diet.) She remains deeply committed to her Christian faith, but is certainly reevaluating certain things her family felt to be core beliefs given her “condition.”

Description:
About 5’7” with an athletic build in human form. Brown eyes, brown hair that she tends to wear long or in a ponytail. In hybrid form, she’s about 6’5”, and 325 pounds of muscle with dark brown fur and a lighter brown coloration of her stomach and chest. She is, for the moment at least, stuck in her hybrid form following a jail altercation while in police custody after her initial power accident.

Background:
Raised in an upper-middle class household in the suburbs of Chicago, Stephanie lived a pretty carefree life. She was talented both musically and athletically, and had high hopes for her academic future in college. Raised in an incredibly anti-mutant family, she was horrified to discover that her best friend Trev was a mutant, and doubly horrified several years later when she had her first transformation trying to defend herself from her verbally and physically abusive boyfriend while out drinking (underage) at a bar near UIC’s campus in Chicago.
Arrested immediately following her attack against her boyfriend and several other bar patrons, she found her bail paid, and legal defenses mysteriously handled after X-Corp intervened following the well-publicized attack as well as a tip from XU student Trev Anderson. Lacking any other options, she’s heading to England to continue her college career and come to grips with her sudden change.

The tentative term I've gotten the Headmistress to accept is "follically enhanced."
