Archaea

Archaea

Postby Archaea » Mon Jun 29, 2015 7:58 pm

Name: Amber Adkins (likely false)
Codename: Archaea
Age: 18
Country of Origin: UK

Power:
Archaea's power is to affect and manipulate living matter by touch. This is limited to complex organisms, anything that falls under the classification of 'Animalia' and that is still alive. She can change tissue, manipulate it's shape and affect changes on a cellular level at will. Her power doesn't seem to be able to hurt or kill anybody, due to her power automatically adjusting the physiology to work with the modifications. At least in theory, as she currently has next to no control over her ability, instead horribly mutating anything she comes into contact with. Her power can't affect her own body, period.

Personality:
Archaea hates being a mutant. She blames her mutation for ruining her life and considers it a genetic disease. This colors much of her attitude and she's generally pretty moody and pessimistic. She's not happy about being withdrawn and left to her own devices, but she considers it better than the alternative, which is to inevitably hurt somebody with her power. Her attitude about her power is having a significant effect on her ability to control it because she's not entirely convinced it can be controlled.

Description:
Archaea is of average heigth and rather skinny. She has brown, slightly curly hair and brown eyes. She prefers to wear baggy clothes like hoodies and cargo pants and pretty much always wears thin elbow-gloves to avoid accidentally touching something.

Background:
Archaea doesn't like to talk about her past or even her real name. When her power manifested it went haywire and she ran away from home out of fear she could affect other people. She"s been homeless ever since until she was discovered by Doctor Moher and recruited into helping him supposedly find a cure for her (and other people's) mutation. To that end she assisted him in affecting cell-cultures samples of mutants with her power in various experiments in an attempt to find a cure. Doctor Moher instead used the manipulated samples to generate a Mutant Growth Hormone based drug. She was freed by the X-Men after they stormed and dismantled Doctor Moher's lab. The school heavily encouraged her to enroll under a complete stipend under the condition that she tries to gain control over her abilities, which was at least in part motivated by the incredible potential she would have as a healer if she could direct her powers properly.
