Power: Onyx can absorb light and other forms of electromagnetic radiation by touch. The energy enhances her strength, reflexes, endurance, senses, and provides her with a minor healing factor.
There is an upper limit to how much she can absorb and forcing too much energy into her body can burn her out resulting in unconsciousness and even death in some extreme cases.
Some forms of energy are easier to absorb than others. In general, the more "visible" energy is the easier it is for her to absorb it.
Description: Onyx has short dark hair and dark eyes. She has a muscular figure built up from years of physical training. She wears a mask at all times in order to keep her identity a secret. She usually is wearing her costume, but she occasionally changes into more appropriate clothing if the situation demands it or she needs to do laundry.
Background: She was born the daughter of the first Onyx, a superheroine known to be the "Guardian of Madripoor". From birth, she was trained to take on the mantle and protect the innocent people of the city once her mother became unable of continuing to perform her duties.
She has been sent to the university to complete her training. If she manages to complete her education and make a name for herself at the University, she will inherit the full duties and responsibilities of being the only "Onyx" and her mother will be able to safely retire before she gets her damn idiot self killed.
