Name: Luke Peterson
Codename: (TBD)
Age: 19
Country of Origin: United States
Hometown: La Grange, Texas
Birthday: December 5th

Power: Luke's right hand is made out of what appears to be a dull silver metal. He is able to alter its shape and hardness, though he's limited by his level of control, conservation of mass, and the underlying bone structure. The metal causes a loss of sensation, but the increased durability more than makes up for the loss.

Pieces of the metal can be removed, and will regenerate over time. It would currently take him about two weeks to regrow his hand, provided there was enough metal remaining to cover the bones. If his hand were allowed to stay 'whole' for any length of time, the metal would continue to slowly (and permanently) replace his flesh, continuing up his arm. Luke is very careful to remove a bit of material each day to make sure that doesn't happen.

He can reabsorb any metal that was once part of him, though this is time-consuming.

Personality: A bit reserved around people he doesn't know well, but he defaults to Southern politeness in most situations.

Description: About 5'9", black hair worn long, brown eyes. Wears glasses, but can see reasonably well without them. Kinda pudgy, but with muscle under it. If not for the silver hand, he'd be fairly unmemorable.

Background: The son of a soldier in the US Army, Luke spent a lot of his early life moving from place to place. His mutation showed up around three years ago, starting as a small silver blotch on one fingernail. His father called in a few favors, and soon the progress and extent of his mutation was being carefully examined by a team of Very Helpful Government Scientists. Through them, he learned a great deal about his powers, including the part where excess metal could be removed and how that would temporarily halt the spread of the affected area. He was encouraged to join the military after he had fixed (read: allowed the mutation to consume) a deformity in one of his feet. Unwilling to let the mutation spread unchecked like that, he declined. Following a... disagreement with his folks about the civic duty of someone with a combat-useful mutation, he left home. A year or so of odd jobs and one fortuitous meeting with an X-Corp representative later, he wound up here.
