Emilie came closer as requested, reaching out to touch Victor's hair lightly, then laid her hand behind his head on the pillow, curling up for with him but being mindful not to touch.

Victor's willing mind would be taken over by a vision of a little girl, walking along a familiar stone divider along a foot path at the farm, she was looking over her shoulder periodically at 'him', smiling. She was the spitting image of Malina, save her eyes were blue, like her father's. In overall shorts, pastel rainbow socks, a mint green cardigan and clompy black boots, she had a sling over her arm, and a cast in that sling.
"Fryderyka Abigail Freud! You bust that damn arm again and your pop is gonna wring my neck, and then yours!"
"Pfft, no he's not!" She said in a laugh, running ahead to try to climb the tree she saw in the distance with one arm.
"Don't you do it!"
But the girl paid her absolutely no mind, and scrambled up it anyways.
"Goddamn it." Emilie muttered to herself, coming up to the tree.
"Come on out."
She did, kind of, hanging upside down by her knees. "Look, I'mma monkey!"
"Okay. But monkeys don't get to eat ice cream sandwiches."
"They don't?"
"Nope. So you better get down if you want one." Emilie reached out and took her by the waist, the lowest branch not being terribly high, and the two of them fell into the grass.
The vision ended there, Emilie looking no more pleased than when it began.
