The Punk and the Godfather

The Estate's meticulously kept gardens, including a hedgemaze that students have occasionally described as "sadistic" and a sizable rose garden. Benches in shaded spots are plentiful, and the gardens are popular to study in on pleasant days. The nearby stables are still maintained with a number of well-heeled equines.

"My Vespa is possessed by the devil? Sweet." She smirked through bleary eyes, climbing into the window sill, then easing herself out of it in a skilled fashion, dropping to the ground. She was mindful of any bushes or anything of that nature.

"I thought that cost a soul, not 800 quid." Emilie approached her in PJ shorts and a tank top that if one psychoanalyzed it enough might give them the impression Emilie would actually find ghost bikes of interest.

But in reality she thought maybe Will was just talking some craziness due to his 'objects is peoples' thing.

"Yeah. It was zooming all around the motor pool, and it drove straight here. No input needed."

"Well jump off and let's see if it's still doing it." She folded her arms across her chest giving the bike a stern look.

Will carefully stepped off the bike, and bounced away from it.

The Vespa doesn't seem to be doing much!

Emilie looked confused again, then looked at Will.

"Didja say something to it to make it go?"

"Not at all; it was going before I arrived.

You should probably walk it back to the motor pool and lock it in your space."

Emilie made a face that read like 'seriously?' but she said "-Alright then."

Then she sat on the seat.

Steph looked up from her bed groggily, huffing a bit as she shifted in the bed that was *almost* too small for her and blinked in confusion.

Did her roommate just climb out the window?

Curious, she rose from bed, shifting outfit nowhere in sight, her fur-covered form that she'd probably be stuck in forever modest enough for her taste.

From below, Will and Em would see a canine head pop out of the window, looking down their interaction with interest.

The Vespa is still warm. It was definitely running until quite recently, but there doesn't seem to be anything supernatural about it.

There's really nothing out of the ordinary. Em is able to drive the scooter right back into the garage. It runs as well as it ever did...

...until it nears the motorcycle being fixed up in Tereza's area. There, the engine revs loudly twice before calming back down again and letting Em park her baby.

Emilie climbed off, and looked at the motorcycle across the way in Tereza's stall.

Emilie didn't really buy Will's story, not because she thought Will was lying but because she knew Will made some weird association to objects being sentient creatures or something. In Will's mind, the story was probably entirely legitimate which by definition made it not lying even if it was insane.

Still, she couldn't deny that the engine was making noises that she didn't prompt. Maybe that was what made Will think it was doing it's own thing?

"OK Melly, you need to stay here, this is where bikes belong." She explained, feeling a bit foolish but then again, stranger shit happened around here than self driving mopeds, and who really could hear her to sound crazy in front of?

"We'll go out again soon."

The Vespa is silent aside from the sound of the metal contracting in its cooling engine.

"Goodnight Melly. Mommy loves you."
