From the sides of the tub, jets of water and detergent began shooting out, mixing in with the clay in rapid fashion, helping combat the acrid smoke smell. It started to turn a pale blue and bubbled a little bit as the soapy water began to do it's thing.
There was, however, a problem, as the tub started beeping. There was an unexpected amount of matter stuck in the middle of the vat, keeping the included draining and filter system from actually working. If left unchecked, the tub would overflow, so that's not a good thing.
Credit to Tosh for figuring out that an amorphous body might not always come out cleanly, so there was a subroutine in place for just such a situation. The manipulator paddles and arms whirred back into action, vigorously -- and violently -- attempting to squeeze and condense the clay as much as possible, blasting it with more of the soapy water to make sure that nothing nasty and unsanitary was left in it.
