The view from the tablet shook a bit as Colette's mother adjusted it to give a wider shot, having been more of a close-up of her before. Now it was broadcasting from its side and showed most of the couch. As Basil and Colette had their little aside she was joined by her husband, the devil.
Okay so he wasn't the devil, but he looked like a demon. But not in the twisted horror film sense, more in the lighthearted comedy way. Dressed in a blue plaid shirt and some khakis he looked like any other working class stiff, it just so happened that his skin was red and he had a pair of small horns near his temples that looked as though they'd been filed and rounded down, showing more prominently thanks to his slightly receding hairline. His ears were also longer and more elf-like, and the sclera of his eyes were black instead of white with red irises... but otherwise he looked like any other dad. Perhaps it was the fact that he was clean shaven that helped make him look a little less demonic, though whether or not he had a tail had been missed during the tablet adjustment.
"Ah there is my little himbeer." Despite having lived in France for a couple of decades, Colette's father still had a German accent which made his French... interesting.
