Leo sat on the edge of the roof, hunched over with his hoodie pulled over his head as far as his anatomy would allow. He didn't seem to notice that it was starting to rain.
Ainsley was passing between buildings when he noticed Leo hanging out on the edge of the roof like a brooding super hero. He didn't try to contact him...
Until he came out onto the roof himself with his messenger bag and an umbrella.
He popped the umbrella and held it up in a fashion that covered the both of them.
Well sort of... for now... It wouldn't work very well if Leo stood up.
"You need to brood inside mate. Where it's dry and warm. You'll get sick if you don't."
Being part of the small boys club meant Ainsley could easily just lean into Leo and still be propped upright by the bulk of him, so that's exactly what Ainsley did. His face mashed onto the other boys shoulder, he continued to hug him while simultaneously dropping his dead weight on Leo.
He slid to the side to sit next to his friend on the ledge, the umbrella held up just high enough Leo could feel it brushing against his hair. Ainsley leant his head against Leo's shoulder, and looked up at the other young man with a goofy grin on his face.
"I thought I just wasn't holding back in Power Training because I knew it was just a simulation. But then when it sent out guys with shock sticks I... everything just went red. If it had been a real fight, I..." he said, unable to stop his voice from breaking into a restrained sob, "I would have killed someone."
"But how can I ever use this for good if I turn into a friggin' animal if pushed even a little? Especially if... if it felt good," he replied, sounding scared.
"Wait wait wait! Hear me out! He uses his hand for visual illustration across his own t-shirt, his finger guiding Leo's eyes. "BRO CLUB." Somehow, Leo could actually hear the larger text. "Ladies welcome!"
"Well I could pass a 'Leo' tattoo off as my star sign... He hedged, but followed with- "But you're going to have a much harder time explaining why you have my name across your chest in permanent gothic font."
