Up until recently maintained as a museum, the childhood home of the Braddock family has been pressed into service as classroom space for the University. Additionally, the increased demands have led to the main ballroom being converted into a cafeteria for University students on a meal plan. The old library has been bolstered with college textbooks.
Tereza settles in to the music room, plugging the electric guitar into the amp and making some adjustments. She picks at the strings a couple of times, playing something slow and somewhat sad sounding. She stops several times, making more adjustments and starting over, obviously trying to get the sound just right.
"Not a really hard driving one, no," she says, giving a soft smile before going back to playing. "I suppose at some point I should give you something to do though."
"Oh neither of them do, but that's kind of the problem."
"He didn't want to be split in the first place. Nobody asked him. And his two halves are... well, the split seems to me they're each what the other hates about himself."
"Fair enough," Tereza says, picking at the guitar. She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, coaxing a song from the guitar that she gradually adds her voice to as she seems to feel comfortable with the sound.
